Tufts Health Plan paid for 260 Providence high school students to attend a screening of the film Black Panther as part of the Black Panther Challenge. The challenge is a national movement that was organized to help urban youth see this film that represents their first opportunity to see a superhero movie with a cast made up of almost entirely of people of color or “people who look like them.”
Supporting youth confidence and pride is a great complement to our mission of improving the health and wellness of the diverse communities we serve. With diversity and inclusion as two of our core company values, we jumped at the opportunity to bring the movie ‘Black Panther’ to as many young Rhode Islanders as we could.” – Tom Croswell, president and CEO of Tufts Health Plan.
